Thank you to the sponsors, volunteers, and golfers whose generous support of the 2024 Mike Pomasl Memorial Golf Outing helped to raise over $48,743 for the Pickerel Rescue Squad! We also owe a special thanks to the Pomasl family for making it all happen.

and Corinne Tipton, Interim EMS Service Director
On behalf of the Pickerel Rescue Squad, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Pomasl family, the volunteers, and for the outpouring of support from our community. You are what makes our EMS service so special.
Twelve years ago, the family of Michael Pomasl organized the very first Mike Pomasl Memorial Golf Outing. Mike was a local man whose life had been saved by the Pickerel Rescue Squad on multiple occasions, leading to his wish for his family to do something special to help support Pickerel EMS. The fulfillment of that wish is this golf fundraiser, and our hope is that the equipment purchased will save many more lives.
The 12th Annual Mike Pomasl Memorial Golf Outing took place on Saturday, August 10th. Despite the cool weather, it was another very successful year! Over the years this event has grown from a modest 9-hole scramble with a single start time to an all-day 3-round event with over 220 golfers participating. This would not have been possible without all of those that donated some awesome raffle prizes, the businesses that sponsor the event, and of course those in our community that attend and spend the day with us. We cannot thank you enough.
Funds raised at this year’s outing will be used to purchase a Zoll Autopulse portable resuscitation system for the rescue squad, and possibly some facility improvements at the EMS station.
The Pickerel Rescue Squad would like to thank our community for all of your support.
We are here for you, just as you are there for us.
